The Noah Center Project
Society as a whole is only as good as the individual. If we would permit ourselves to get to know the disadvantaged, we would never allow ourselves to dismiss them.

The Goal of Mercy Force is to end homelessness in our nation. We desire to spiritually bless those in need. We believe that this is accomplished by first ministering to their physical needs. Mercy Force strives to achieve this mission through housing, counseling, targeted services, community outreach, public awareness and collaborative relationships with cities, businesses and churches. We call it the Noah Center Project because it is an ark of hope for those in need.
Reaching the Nation
Mercy Force equips leaders from churches and organizations with a passion to impact the lives of homeless people within the United States of America. Our team prepares them to plant Noah Centers and ignite and fuel church-driven, gospel-centered movements in all areas with a high population of homeless people.

Individuals who want to become actively involved in a Noah Center can enroll in our Life Skills Coaching program and get certified. Participants will acquire the competencies to help clients learn to rebuild their lives and improve their self-image.

Mercy Force Training
Starting a Noah Center is the most effective way to help the homeless and to change a neighborhood. But it is not easy. It requires well-trained leaders with character and competence. Mercy Force is a media-driven ministry, utilizing the internet, television, multimedia programs, seminars, workshops and conferences to empower individuals who want to advance Christ’s Second Great Command.

Homeless - Not Hopeless
Guided by service, compassion and fairness, the Noah Center assists homeless, low-income and at-risk families and individuals, including seniors and youth, to become self-sufficient and empowered to be fully responsible for themselves and their families.

The Noah Center is the next step in helping people to change their lives
through quality programs, services, counseling, skills acquisition, transitional housing, outreach with the dignity and worth of the individual in mind. The Noah Center will serve as a meeting place and support center, helping people transition out of homelessness through its many programs. The building can house 100 guests in 50 rooms. It includes a large common-use room, laundry facilities, a computer room, several training rooms, and offices for the fulltime team.

The Noah Center will provide crisis intervention, evaluation, short-term counseling, and case management. The case managers review all referrals, evaluate families and individuals for placement, develop self-sufficiency plans and provide case management services for up to six months.

Capital Campaign
The total project cost - including land acquisition, design fees, construction and all other related costs - are about $8 million.

Help us build the Noah Center to make certain that those in need, a surprisingly substantial and sometimes invisible group of local individuals and families, receive a fair chance to return to the workforce and once again become valuable members of our community."

–Herbert J. Kellner, Founder and President, Mercy Force

The $8 million campaign - the most ambitious fundraising initiative in our history - will enable us not to build another homeless shelter but a high quality training and transition facility the cities of Carlsbad, Encinitas, Oceanside, San Marcos and Vista can be proud of.
